REPORTING GUIDANCE.

Staff should first refer to the reporting guidance issued by the school.

This guidance is faculty specific and relates to the grades/levels and teacher comments.

In general, should range from level 3 to 5.

·   General comment about the student.

·    Non subject specific comments  - Attitude, Effort, Behaviour,    Equipment, Revision, Homework.

·    Non subject specific targets and how to achieve them.

·    Subject specific comments    -           Strengths and weaknesses.

·    Subject specific targets        -           Areas to work on and how.

In general, should range from level 3 to 6.

9

In general, should range from level 3 to 7.

GCSE

GCSE grade G to A* or Numeracy level 2 to 3.

12A/AS

AS or A2 grade E to A.

 

As above, but in addition there is space for the teacher to negotiate specific targets with the student. Some examples are listed below:

·    Read ahead of the subject to aid understanding.

·    Complete all outstanding exercises before next lesson.

·    Practice/redo questions to gain confidence.

·    Ask for help with parts of the subject you don’t understand.

·    Attend after school sessions to keep up to date.
