·        We have an outstanding Mathematics faculty.

·        We received an excellent OfSTED report 12 months ago in which the Mathematics faculty was highly commended for its work.

·        We have achieved successful and improving results in both KS3 SATs and GCSE and a large number of students opt for ’AS’ level Mathematics.

·        Our faculty consists of 10 full time staff including two leading Mathematics teachers. We are at the forefront of the National Numeracy Strategy, having been involved in the KS3 Strategy pilot for the past 2 years.

·        Staff development is actively encouraged and highly supported. Our record in this area has led to us gaining Investor in People status.

We would like to employ teachers who have the potential to develop into excellent classroom practitioners and would like to develop their careers through either the Curriculum or Student Welfare systems.

Hemsworth Arts and Community College is situated for easy access to M1, A1 and M62.

We are around 30 minutes from both Leeds and Sheffield by car.
